Flames Of Discouragement
Discouragement is a weapon that Satan uses to destroy any happiness you have in your life. It leads to resentment, bitterness, and self-pity, none of which will bring you closer to Jesus. If the devil can separate you from God, then he wins. So he's always looking for anything he can to keep you focused on the negative side of life. When you feel the heat from the flames of discouragement creeping in, immediately cry out to Jesus and ask Him to stomp them out. Don't give the devil reason to gloat because he caused you even one minute of distress. Instead, give your burdens to Jesus. Remember, you are a child of God, King of the universe. Instead of bathing in self-pity, bask in the light of God's presence, asking Him to give you an extra measure of His joy. You don't have to fight the battle alone; Jesus is on your side and is ready to lift you up and set you free.
